Redefining the Rail transit connectivity in Maharashtra!

Envisioning the challenges of today and tomorrow, MAHARAIL is on a mission to transform and redefine the nationally important transport corridor in the State of Maharashtra. Maharashtra is experiencing rapid growth in industrial, finance and transport sector. It is my vision to take railway infrastructural facilities to remote location of the State and enhance transport connectivity to bring them into the National mainstream of development.

MAHARAIL will work hand in glove with Govt. of Maharashtra and Indian Railways for development, establishment, operation and maintenance of all type of Railway infrastructure and other infrastructure projects and facilities. We shall identify the best way to deliver the project, looking particularly at the potential benefits of linking transport infrastructure in the industrial, residential and special economic zones.

The work of implementation of Pune Nashik Railway Line (double line) measuring 231 Km has been initiated. It shall be the first Broad-Gauge Rail line with commercial speed of 200 KMPH.

The new route will bring Pune, Nashik, Ahmednagar and Mumbai even closer. Once Pune Nashik Rail Line is completed it will result into improved connectivity to important industrial cities of India and thus will complete Maharashtra's industrial triangle link by Rail. Also, MAHARAIL is executing gauge conversion of Nagpur-Nagbhir narrow gauge line. Many more significant projects are in pipeline. We plan to make this a real golden era for Railways in State of Maharashtra.
