A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between Govt. of Maharashtra and MRIDC for implementation of Road Over Bridges (ROBs)/ Road Under Bridges (RUBs) and Limited Height Subway (LHS) in Maharashtra State.

MRIDC is constructing ROBs and RUBs for hassle free movement of Road & Rail traffic. Thus, eliminating level crossing across the state and making it “Railway Fatak Free”.

Elimination of level crossings by construction of ROB/RUB is vital for critical road connectivity and capacity enhancement from transport point of view.

Road Over Bridges in Mumbai and Thane District

MRIDC has been entrusted the responsibility of reconstruction of old British Era bridges in Mumbai. Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has signed an (Memorandum of Understanding) MOU with MRIDC to construct 10 ROBs and 1 RUB in Mumbai and Suburban regions.

Similarly, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has signed an MOU for construction of 2 ROBs in Mumbai and 4 ROBs and 1RUB in Thane District.
