MahaRail received a patent for its invention

MahaRail is pleased to announce that the company has received a patent for its invention called A CONCRETE CRASH BARRIER WITH INTEGRATED UTILITY DUCT. MahaRail has developed a separate cable duct for utilities that passes through ducts in the crash barriers of Road Over Bridges. The advantage of this method is that it ensures that all the cables remain within the duct without being exposed to the outside elements.

There are many utility lines that are typically run over bridges, including electrical lines, telephone lines etc. These wires can be harmful and cause fatal accidents. To prevent this, MahaRail has introduced a separate cable duct within the crash barriers of ROBs for distribution of cables. This integrate utility duct is a tray made of Stainless Steel which encase all the electric cables, this also enhances the beauty of the ROB.

Research Design and Standard Organisation (RDSO) has issued Compendium

Research Design and Standard Organisation (RDSO) has issued Compendium in the form of "RDSO Report No. BS-132" with an aim to disseminate good practices in planning of Road Over Bridges (ROBs), launching operations and to create a repository of drawings in use.

Out of the total 188 ROB drawings published by RDSO in the compendium, includes 15 drawings of MRIDC. These designs and drawings are prepared by the in-house team of MRIDC. This is a rarest of the rare achievement for MRIDC, as it’s one of the Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) / JV Corporations whose 15 drawings have been published for adoption in the country during the construction of ROBs. The users can obviate the need for approval if drawings are to be used. The details of 15 drawings of MRIDC which is approved by RDSO are as follows:
